WASHINGTON, D.C. – A crash in Southeast Washington D.C. resulted in the death of one person on Thursday evening.
Emergency crews responded to the crash in the 3300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, around 5:45 p.m.
Crash with entrapment 3300 block Pa. Ave SE. 1 person trapped in pickup truck who sadly has succumbed to their injuries. A 2nd patient in being evaluated by EMS. #DCsBravest

Crews reported that one person trapped in a pickup truck died from their injuries. Another person was being evaluated by EMS officials at the scene.
The crash closed Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, between Branch Avenue, SE, and 33rd Place, SE for several hours following the crash.
All lanes have since reopened.
