WASHIGNTON, DC – A hit-and-run in southeast Washington claimed the life of 65-year-old man on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Texas Avenue and Chaplin Street around 6:48 p.m.
Police say William Bush, who was crossing in or near the crosswalk, was struck by the driver of a silver or gray sedan, who subsequently fled northbound along the 4400 block of Texas Avenue.
Bush tragically died at the scene, and authorities are seeking information to identify and apprehend the driver responsible for this fatal crash.
