WASHINGTON, DC – Emergency crews in northwest D.C. rescued a trapped driver whose vehicle had overturned following a collision with a traffic pole on Tuesday night.
Police say a vehicle crashed into the pole near the intersection of 16th and Upshur Streets.
The impact caused the vehicle to flip over, coming to rest against a retaining wall with the driver pinned inside.
First responders extricated the victim and transported them to an area hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. It is unclear at this time if anyone else suffered injuries in the crash.
