WASHINGTON D.C. – Five people were hurt Saturday evening in a multi-vehicle collision along a major roadway on the northwest side of Washington D.C.
The accident happened before 7 p.m. along Rock Creek Parkway between K Street Northwest and Massachusetts Avenue, which is just west of the Dupont Circle area.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved. They say that one vehicle overturned and that five people required medical attention.
Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Officials closed Rock Creek Parkway in the area of the wreck while crews worked at the scene.
