FORT WASHINGTON, MD — A pedestrian collision in Fort Washington claimed the life of a 24-year-old Chesapeake Beach man on Sunday, Oct. 15.
The incident unfolded at the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Old Fort Road around 1 a.m.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the pedestrian, Austin McCollum, lost his life when he was struck by a northbound vehicle on Indian Head Highway. The driver involved in the collision remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
