FALLS CURCH, VA – A teenage driver faces DUI charges after a crash in Falls Church, Virginia, left six other teens with life-threatening injuries early Monday.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Pioneer Lane, where the driver, aged 14 to 17, lost control, crashed into a tree, and spun before landing in a front yard.
Five occupants were ejected, one had to be rescued from the wreckage, and many weren’t wearing seat belts. First responders, including a police helicopter, worked to locate victims in the dark.
The injured teens were swiftly transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Despite being arrested on a DUI charge, the driver, aged 14 to 17, was released to his parents, with charges potentially pending.
