FAIRFAX CO., VA – An investigation is underway following a Tuesday crash on I-66 that resulted in a truck catching fire.
Fairfax Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene just east of the I-495 interchange where four vehicles were involved in the collision, and a work truck caught fire.
Emergency crews successfully extinguished the flames and are currently working to clear the aftermath.
The incident prompted the closure of all lanes on I-66. Transit officials reported partial reopening as of 7:55 p.m., with the left lane of the Express Lanes and the right shoulder of the Main Line accessible.
