Narrative
FAIRFAX CO., VA – Four people were hosptialized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a box truck on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County on Wednesday afternoon.
First responders were responding to an incident on I-495 near the US-50 interchange at about 12:50 p.m. when a box truck tipped over on top of a VSP cruiser and another vehicle.

The box truck’s driver was hospitalized in serious condition. Three other individuals were also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic delays were reported in the area for several hours following the crash. All lanes were reopened shortly after 4:15 p.m.
